Advanced Hardwood Biofuels Northwest is one of seven USDA NIFA (National Institute of Food and Agriculture) funded consortiums researching and developing regional renewable-fuel supply systems in the United States. An array of additional biofuel and bioproduct research centers are funded by the US Department of Energy and the National Science Foundation.
