Todos usamos productos que son hechos de petróleo todos los días. Para nuestros hijos y futuro, necesitamos opciones sostenibles y renovables para alimentar nuestros autos, calentar nuestros hogares, y hacer plásticos y textiles. La investigación en Washington está estudiando el uso de árboles de álamo como fuente de biomasa para combustibles y productos renovables. Washington State University y Advanced Hardwood Biofuels Northwest (AHB) le invitan a unirse a nosotros para un día en el campo en el sitio de demostración de Pilchuck para aprender sobre las energías renovables y los últimos avances en biocombustibles y bio-productos en el noroeste del Pacífico.

We all use products that are made from petroleum every day. For our children and future, we need sustainable and renewable options to fuel our cars, heat our homes, and make plastics and textiles. Research in Washington is looking into using poplar trees as a biomass source for renewable fuels and products. Washington State University and Advanced Hardwood Biofuels Northwest (AHB) invites you to join us for a day in the field at the Pilchuck demonstration site to learn about renewable energy and the latest advances in biofuels and bio-products in the Pacific Northwest.
Topics include:
- What is energy?
- The importance of renewable energy
- What is the poplar tree, its uses and how they grow?
- What is Extension and what programs do we offer?
