Wednesday, October 22, 2014 | 10am PST

The biofuel and biochemical industries face stiff competition with the petroleum industry, making them very sensitive to government policies. Nationally and internationally, these policies are big drivers for biofuel investments. State governments can provide critical support for development of advanced biofuels, through policies that help ensure markets, reduce risks, and leverage private investments. This webinar, presented by Ross Macfarlane of Climate Solutions, will address key policies affecting biofuels in the Northwest with a focus on the debate surrounding a Clean Fuels Standard in Washington and Oregon.
Presenter: Ross Macfarlane of Climate Solutions
When: Wednesday, October 22, 2014 | 10:00-11:00am PST
Who should attend? Policy makers, representatives from environmental groups, extension professionals, and anyone interested in the development of local bioenergy industries.
Sponsored by: Washington State University with funding from Agriculture and Food Research Initiative (AFRI) Competitive Grant no. 2011-68005-30407 from the USDA National Institute of Food and Agriculture (NIFA).
