Innovation for a Sustainable Future
Advanced Hardwood Biofuels Northwest is one of seven USDA NIFA (National Institute of Food and Agriculture) funded consortiums researching and developing regional renewable-fuel supply systems in the United States. An array of additional biofuel and bioproduct research centers are funded by the US Department of Energy and the National Science Foundation.
Here you can learn more about the many renewable fuel and green chemical projects that support national bioenergy and bioproduct initiatives. Across the country, these efforts are revitalizing rural communities through job creation and economic developments, decreasing the nation’s dependence on foreign oil, and moving the country towards sustainable resources and energy.
