Please register so that we can send you specific information or let you know if we have to cancel due to inclement weather. Remember to dress for field conditions!
If you are unable to attend the field tour, the harvest starts on February 21 and ends on February 24. GreenWood Resources welcomes visitors and press, provided you are wearing proper safety equipment. Please contact Noelle Hart, 425-741-9953, firstname.lastname@example.org, for more information.
The poplars at the Jefferson Demonstration Site were planted in the spring of 2012. They were first harvested in 2013 after two growing seasons. Now, three years after the initial harvest, the poplar trees have regrown to heights over 30 feet! Attendees will learn about the harvest procedure, watch the poplar harvester at work, and learn about the uses of poplar farms in the Pacific Northwest.
