Clarksburg Field Tour

Advanced Hardwood Biofuels Northwest invites you to join AHB researchers for a day out in the field at the Clarksburg Demonstration Site! Come see hybrid poplar’s full growth potential in Clarksburg, California at the peak of their second growing season. As a purpose-grown crop for bioenergy, the poplars have great potential as a sustainable feedstock for biofuel and bioproduct production in the Pacific Northwest.
Join extension professionals, policy makers, researchers, environmental professionals, and local landowners in learning about the latest biofuel and bioproduct developments in the Pacific Northwest. Topics include:
- Growing hybrid poplar as a short rotation woody energy crop
- Sustainable production and environmental impacts on soil, water, and wildlife
- Best areas to develop biofuel and bioproduct industries
- Biomass production tour highlighting operational and research poplar plots
