California Energy Commission In California, the Energy Commission works on energy policy and planning. The state has a Bioenergy Action Plan and works on transportation biofuels as well as converting biomass into electricity.
Idaho Energy Resources The bioenergy program in Idaho helps people know how to use their locally grown biomass as a renewable energy resource. The program does this through technical assistance and educational workshops as well as showcasing demonstration projects.
Oregon Department of Energy, Biomass Energy The Oregon DOE ensures an adequate supply of reliable and affordable energy by developing clean energy resources and promoting renewable energy. Oregon´s biomass resources include wood, agricultural crop residues, and organic waste.
International Energy Agency The IEA works on reliable, affordable and clean energy for their 28 member countries. They provide information on both bioenergy and biofuels and the potential of feedstocks and conversion processes to produce sustainable low-carbon biofuels.
Global Renewable Fuels Alliance The GRFA is a global biofuels federation that represents over 65% of worldwide fuel production. The organization works on expanding the use of renewable and sustainable fuels around the world through research and public policy. GRFA has produced an interactive global map of biofuels.
Bioenergy Feedstock Library The Bioenergy Feedstock Library is both a physical repository and a knowledge database that supports research, provides funamental data on biomass characteristics and presents tools to allow decision making. The Library is operated by Idaho National Laboratory.
