Walk through the Woodburn poplar trees and discuss the success and challenges of the nation’s first dual wastewater reuse system. The tour will observe the newly harvested and replanted units. Poplars at the Woodburn Wastewater Treatment Facility range from 1-16 years old. Irrigation equipment used to apply reuse water and biosolids to the 80-acre reuse site will be operational at the time of the tour. Transportation from The Benson Hotel in downtown Portland, light snacks, and beverages included in the $25.00 tour fee.
