Bioenergy Education to Career Pipeline

Education Overview

Throughout the Pacific Northwest, emerging bioenergy businesses and industries are creating exciting employment possibilities. To prepare the workforce for these jobs, AHB is developing educational programs at the K-12, community college, four-year college, and professional master’s levels.

Education Progress

Students and teachers K-12 are exploring bioenergy through inventive programs and teacher training events. At the university level, students from diverse backgrounds and majors are introduced to bioenergy concepts through a Bioenergy Minor program. Technical programs at select Pacific Northwest community and technical colleges are working toward creating a strong bioenergy workforce.
