SUMMARY:Wednesday Webinar: Converting Poplar into Biofuels - Graduate and Postdoc Research
DESCRIPTION:Wednesday\, March 1\, 2017 \nTo attend register at: https://goo.gl/forms/RBLQdz8rrmy4WbDr2 \nThis special webinar will share the conversion research of Hanna Horhammer (Postdoc)\, Chang Dou (PhD candidate)\, and Oliver Jan (PhD candidate) from the University of Washington. Graduate students and postdoctoral fellows are critical to AHB’s success. They are answering important questions for the potential poplar-based biofuels and bio-based chemicals industry. In turn\, they are gaining experience on an applied\, interdisciplinary project and are better prepared for careers in academia and industry. \nThe webinar will be divided into a series of short presentations that are tailored for a general audience. Topics include the concept of “poplar to biofuels\,” biomass processing\, and taking ethanol to jet fuel. Please join us to support these graduate and postdoc researchers and learn more about the challenges and solutions for turning poplar trees into fuels and chemicals! \n  \nWho Should Attend?\nResearchers\, bioenergy and wood industry representatives\, policy makers\, environmental professionals\, community leaders\, students\, and extension professionals. \nPresenters: Hanna Horhammer (Postdoc)\, Chang Dou (PhD candidate)\, and Oliver Jan (PhD candidate) from the University of Washington \nHow to access the webinar:\nPlease register for the webinar at https://goo.gl/forms/RBLQdz8rrmy4WbDr2 \nOn the day of the event\, you can access the webinar at http://breeze.wsu.edu/growinggreen/ \nThis webinar is part of the AHB Hardwood Biofuels Webinar Series.
